The LEC season will kick off in mid-January
Two newcomers, an old face, and much more: this is what the 2024 LEC Winter Split will bring us when it returns on January 13. While the European region hasn’t had the best results internationally, there has been a lot going on during this offseason to raise our expectations once again.
Not only will we get to see Karmine Corp and the newly-formed GIANTX in action, but we will also see the return of the Rogue brand, alongside new rookies in the top league. Just like last year, the LEC will run three splits, starting off with the winter one.
Compared to 2023, though, there have been minor changes to the format, with the merging of the Group Stage and the playoffs stage into one single bracket. Additionally, the championship points system has been slightly tweaked, hoping to better reward consistency over big jumps in performance.
But before that, let’s check out the schedule of the 2024 LEC Winter Split: make sure to mark the most important so that you won’t miss the action. It’s worth noting that side selection hasn’t been decided yet, so teams are not arranged based on the sides of Summoner’s Rift.
